Talking about plants like marihuana was something that I didn’t allow myself  to talk about, ‘cause like you know, our mind defends itself through imposed judgements that make us react before ideas that are good or wrong; this means that talking about weed, pot or cannabis meant to me to talk about drugs that affected the well-being of a person. 

I’ve always known that marihuana has surprising medicinal purposes, but before I could understand this possibility that we see as “forbidden” and where we believe that what’s wrong is not for oneself, we prefer to put a judgement based on labels to those who consume it and refer to them as: “junkies”, “drug addicts”, “drug abusers” etc., ‘cause it’s always easier leaving in the other a label that makes us feel that we’re better and in that way, be separated from a collective that also teaches us that traditional medicines are not the only alternative, nor that mother earth talks to us through healing plants. 

I had never tasted any type of medicine or plant; until months ago that I decided to reconcile with my beliefs and meet one of the most extraordinary and healing medicines there are, and until today, I haven’t been able to put on words my experience with it; its scientific name is bufo alvarius or incilius alvarius, this medicine is removed from a semi-aquatic amphibian that lives in the desert of Sonora Mexico, its skin glands contain more than a dozen tryptamine compounds; among them bufotenin and 5-MeO-DMT (5-methoxy-dimethyltryptamine).

Maybe you’ll ask: what’s that? I was asking that same question when my best friend and sister soul talked to me about it and in my mind passed through: “this woman has gone crazy” but of course, that was my judgement before recognizing a truth that would change the way I see life today; DMT is a chemical substance with powerful hallucinogenic properties that can be found mainly on some plants; you as anyone else, produce DMT only in three occasions, when you’re born, when you dream and the moment you’ll die; therefore, when you take this medicine your brain reaches up to 5-MeO-DMT. What does it feel to take it? Is bringing your ego to death and the beliefs related to lacking, dependency, resentment, hate, anger and illness ‘cause bufo alvarius helps you to internalize in yourself and reaching to the cause of your “problem” passing through that duality that constantly haunts us; why do I tell death? ‘cause the person you’re before and the one you become after taking it, it’s the recognition of a symbolic death of the person you believed you were in order to become the person you’re destined to be. 

How has my life changed after bufo alvarius? I’ve always believed that the biggest responsibility we have as human beings, it’s our mental, physical and spiritual healing and independently of the external help, we’re forced to return to the most important source that’s oneself in order to understand why do we think and feel some experiences we’ve created; with the purpose of passing through those mental judgements projected on the exterior and finally become responsible of ourselves; in my case the medicine of the bufo alvarius opened me to make peace with God and made me reconcile with my control to see the divinity that lives within me; with the intention of continuing on the path I need to follow and help my soul to accomplish its mission, it helped me to heal my past, present and future without being attached to any of them; just deciding to live here and now, it’s not by chance that DMT is known as the molecule of God.

I believe that talking about the sacred medicines is to dare ourselves to look at the past and recognize that in the planet there are thousands of plants to heal us and recognize that lots of diseases come from the symptoms and blockages of our mind; ancient medicines are the sum of knowledge and wisdom that function as the prevention and healing of our mental, emotional, physical and spiritual health but to get to them, we have to eliminate the judgement that condemns us to be sick believing that this is what we deserve. 

Have in mind that we’ve been lead to believe that control conduces us to inflexibility and that impedes us to trust in alternative methods that can heal us ‘cause we’re hypnotized before the idea of healing, ‘cause inside our illusion of control we assume that “we don’t have anything to heal”; nonetheless, ancient medicines are created to take us to this misconception and gives us the opportunity to become our own medicine ‘cause they face us to the solution that only can come from oneself and helps us to wake up from that collective hypnosis where a lot of people live in. Today I have the blessing of being a witness of the power ancestral medicines have and the huge potential that exists on them to heal the whole humanity. 

I want to tell you that through this written, I open my heart to you and share consciously with you one of the most reconciling and loving experiences of my life; I’ve taken 4 doses of bufo alvarius and believe me, it’s one of the  best decisions I’ve ever made ‘cause its a medicine I observe with respect, love and humility; believe me, I haven’t been so close to nature; the same that made me feel recognized as its sacred daughter and thanks to it we’re alive ‘cause it not only gives us oxygen that fills our lungs and sometimes we don’t become aware of it ‘cause we believe we have the air garantized; but mother nature doesn’t vibrate from resentment; quite the opposite, it keeps offering us its extraordinary medicine to see if humanity reconsiders and reconnects with life; it gives us fantastic animals that are part of this existence but a lot of people prefer to abandon them on the streets ‘cause they don’t know what to do with them, it gives us the great possibility to amaze with its constant presence but lots of people prefer to throw trash over it as an answer; mother earth gives us vegetables and fruits to feed ourselves, but so many others use those gifts as a mercantile strategy impossible to consume; if you can only realize dear sister/brother the capacity that mother earth has to heal us, I believe you’ll understand that we’re in debt with it.

I can tell you that from my bufo medicines, everyday I raise my pray so we can reconcile with who we are and finally, we take ourselves away the mask about dependency, heartbreak, lacking, illness, comparison, hate, stress and violence; today out loud I sing my prayers so humanity can heal and wake up, so we can stop choosing teachers as tragedy, slaughter, inequality and racism to begin to love and respect each other; but most of all, I raise my words to the resonance of the Universe that created us with all its love so we can shatter the beliefs and assumptions that dissociate us from the truth and finally start to choose those healing paths that are related to the conscious contributions that we give to the world ‘cause if there’s something I’ve understood, it’s that our presence on earth, weights and weights a lot.
